A film of ideas, substance and elegance. Just think it's 1941. Nothing is trivial, everything is planned and precise. Shots that are original even today, never banal dialogue and always full of meaning, a complex narrative structure, a story full of many aspects, sometimes made explicit in the film sometimes hidden. The film is a genius. If I had a film school students Citizen Kane would be screened once a day.
